Very interesting early Wehrmacht Heer Panzer visor cap for an EM/NCO serving with Aufkl.Abt.9. It was issued in 1934 as a Reichswehr cap. At least the sweat-band is 1934 dated. There is a LEONHARD PAULIK MÜTZEFABRIK makers mark as well as a 2./Aufkl.Abt.9. There are also 1.Kp. stamps who he must have changed Kompanie.
Matching aluminium cap eagle and wreath badge. They must have been applied after 1935, most probably even later. Early Reichswehr chin strap. A size 55 stamp to the liner. Celluloid inside damaged. The stabilizing band has a crack. The sweat-band is seriously damaged and its seam has opened. Moth damage.

This cap was taken most probably taken back by a US GI who wrote his name inside: WATSON.
