Description
Very rare M16 helmet used by a member of SA Gruppe Hochland. The helmet was period time painted brown. A Edelweiss with swastika was painted to the helmet as its decal. A very early helmet.
 
CARL MENZEL 1917 maker marked to each lining pad. Each comes with blue cotton pockets holding the original packages. The owner his name (hard to read) and "Sturm 21/2" (St.Pölten, Austria) to two of the pads. The inner ring and inside of the helmet shows green color. The rest was period time painted brown. The color is nicely aged. The Edelweiss with swastika is also painted. Intact chin strap. No stamps to the shell visible.
