Very special Wehrpaß to the Stalingrad veteran Schlachtflieger pilot Feldwebel Helmut Weirich awarded the Luftwaffe Pilots Badge, the Front Clasps for Schlachtflieger in bronze, silver and gold as well as the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class. All awards are noted on page 21 and 23.
1944 issued Wehrpaß. His original Wehrpaß was lost during the battle of Stalingrad. There is an interesting note explaining this second issue on one of the last pages: "Neuausfertigung, da Angehöriger der ehemaligen 6.Armee".
Weirich served with Schlachtgeschwader 2 Immelmann and Schlachtgeschwader 151. A lot of other units are noted. From December 1944 he served as a pilot instructor.
There are two very interesting notes on page 20 and 21:
"Hat mit Erfolg an dem Panzernahkampflehrgang .... teilgenommen".
That means he was part of two late war tank destruction courses in January and February 1945. This would have been special courses for Schlachtflieger only.
