Waffen-SS Infanterie 2 single shoulder boards - SS-Untersturmführer
Description
Waffen-SS, pair of officers'-pattern shoulderboards as was intended for an: 'Untersturmführer der Infanterie-Truppen' (or: infantry-lieutnant).
The - mis-matched - pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued' 'upper-decks' and shows the white-coloured piping. One of the boards shows the woolen-type piping whereas the other shows the 'silk-like'-type piping attached.
The pair never had any pips nor cyphers attached and comes without tongues: it was most likely worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type.
The pair was only moderately used and shows some age, wear and/or staining.
