Description
Very rare Wehrpaß to Major Helmut Leicht, a recipient of the Oak Leaves to the 1939 Knight's Cross. Leicht served as a Staffelkapitän 2./Stuka-Geschwader 77 when he was awarded the Knight's Cross on 3.9.1942. He was posthumously awarded the Oak Leaves as Kommandeur III./Stuka-Geschwader (later Schlachtgeschwader) 10 on 24.10.1944.
He was reported missed in action on 26.6.1944 near Witebsk when Russian units were attacking his unit. Leicht had over 900 missions.

Wehrpaß and early portrait photo. Issued on 25.7.1937 when Leicht was a young Unteroffizier. Period time attached uniform photo. A full list of all units he served with until his death. The most important are Stuka-Geschwader 165, Stuka-Geschwader 77 and Schlachtgeschwader 10.

There is no entry for the Pilots Badge and the Oak Leaves to the Knight's Cross. 
 
A long list with all campaigns and battles from 1938 his death on 26.6.1944. Nice entires such as "Leitung u. Unterstützung des Unternehmens Maastricht und Eben-Emael (VIII.Fl.Korps mit Sturmabteilung Koch u. Flak-Abteilung Adlinger", "Einsatz im Erdkampf gegen sow jet. Luftwaffe...." etc...
 
In April 1936 he joined the Luftwaffe serving until February 1938 with L.K.S. Berlin-Gatow. He was transferred to Stuka-Geschwader 165 (renamed to 77 later), seeing active service during the Poland Campaign from September 1939. From May 1940 he was part of campaigns against France and England. He was part of the Russian Campaign from June 1941 (Charkow, Sewastopol). Leicht became commander of II./Stuka-Geschwader 77 which was renamed to III./Schlacht-Geschwader 10 operating in Russia, Romania and Hungary on 1.10.1943. 
 
Entry missed in action: "Seti dem 26.6.1944 nach einem Feindflug im Planquadrat 9541 vermisst".
A very rare Wehrpaß full of entires in very nice condition.
