Very fine high quality award. Enameled. "900" silver stamped to the small ring. No maker mark.
No chips or damage. The dark stain/mark you see to the lower cross arm was just dirt not cleaned before photographing. No damage! Very nice condition! On full size ribbon.
Textbook case of issue. Black velvet inlay. "Orden vom Deutschen Adler Verdienstkreuz 1. Stufe" (this title was used from 1937-19399) printed to the silk lining. Red outside leather. Sunken gilt national eagle printed to the top. Gold lines. Opening and closing correctly.
