Very unusual black Waffen-SS Panzer field cap. According to the consignor, it has turned up in Romania like that.
It comes with a machine-woven skull and eagle. The eagle is attached by machine, the skull attache by hand. Both look period time attached to me.
To metal black painted buttons to the front. Two prongs to each button. Black cotton lining. Removed small size diamond. Black sweat-band. It seems to be a waterproofed material.
Stiching all over the look looks period time to me. We tend to an usual foreign production and see no reason we a faker would make such an unusual non-textbook cap like this.
