A nicely worn "been there" M41 Heer tunic which was made in 1942. It is "M42" stamped the cotton liner.
The tunic was period time modified with a dark green collar added to copy elegant M36 style. They also attached an early officer's breast eagle with dark green eagle. The tunic was also a little shortened.
All insignia look definitely period time attached to me. Collar tabs and tress were attached by machine, the breast eagle by hand.
The cotton liner is also size stamped and maker marked. The shoulder boards are missing.
A removed insignia to the left sleeve tells you more about this Unteroffizier. You can see a round shadow of a previsouly attached "Melder" badge.
