Extremely rare Third Reich period time police kettledrum banner. A high quality example manufactured by "Hierteis Söhne Kürschner & Hoflieferant Nürnberg und Fürth".
Green wool construction with tress bordering going around all sections. Three large size silver police eagles. Metal-wire hand-stiched. Amazing quality and detail. Black swastikas hand-stiched with thread. The eagles are about 52cm high. Fringe is going all around the bottom area.
All 6 pairs of black straps to mount to the kettledrum are still there and made from ripped black silk.
Light green silk backing. Light staining.
Some small moth holes to the front side. No corrosion to the eagles or fringe.
Length: 160cm
We believe that one section was cut off. The tress border to the left side is different which must be the area were it was cut.
This would give the banner an original length of around 200cm
