Very nice Heer officer's visor cap for a Gebirgsjäger. Correct, green piping. Not a civil servant's cap. Their piping from a darker green.
Early tombak hollow cap eagle which goes nicely with the hand embroidered officer's wreath badge. This cap was certainly worn like this and never had an embroidered eagle attached.
Gold silk lining. Intact celluloid diamond. Maker marked. Size 56 stamped to a paper tag.
Very nice condition. Great shape!
Only minor moth damage to the bottom of the cap just next to the beginning of the sweat-band.
