Description
A field worn WWII period time Waffen-SS 4-pocket tunic for an SS-Obersturmbannführer. Not a privately purchased but a proper issued field tunic which comes with quite a few period time modifications. A dark green collar has been added over the original one, the tunic was made a enlarged but moving the buttons holes including reinforcing the button line to the reverse. The lining just underneath the shoulder board area was reinforced as well.

It probably started its life as a Heer tunic but was however definitely worn by a SS-Sturmbannführer. There are no traces of previously attached collar tabs or a breast eagle. The hand-stiched officer's sleeve eagle was attached by hand. The collar tabs attached by machine. The boards were sewn in. All insignia look absolutely period time attached to us. The "3 holes" for belt hooks would have been removed due to modifications/enlargements.

There are loops for one badge and a long ribbon bar to the left breast pocket.
Cotton lining with size stamps and maker marks as well as various other stamps and writing.

Well worn. A lot of character. Overall good condition. Only 1-2 moth holes if you check closely.
Size L.
