Description
Waffen-SS, EM- (ie. NCO-) pattern, period-altered M43-model field-tunic ('Feldbluse') having a pair of 'Feldgendarmerie' shoulder-straps attached. The tunic comes in a very nice (and never used- nor worn-) condition. The tunic has a bluish-grey-coloured, linnen-type lining and bears a clearly present maker- and/or size ink-stamp (that reads: '2392/43'. The tunic retains all its (period-attached) buttons but has been period-altered ie. re-tailored: all four pockets have been re-positioned and have been given a vertically placed 'stripe' of woolen cloth (giving the impression that the tunic has 'pleaded-pockets').

Moreover, has the tunic been given a darker-green-coloured collar. All these alterations were very popular and more often done in order to give a tunic a more 'early-period appearance'. The piece shows 2-holes (for belt-hook attachment) and retains its fully remaining woolen 'nap': it shows some minimal storage-age only.

The tunic is medium-sized and has a waist of 88 cms. It came with a (matching) pair of orange-piped ('silk-like'-type) SS-shoulder-straps attached, implying that it was a tunic that was intended for an SS-soldier that served within the: 'SS-Feldgendarmerie-Truppen'. The tunic had - apart from these straps - never any insignia attached.
