Waffen-SS, tropical-issue uniform-set comprising of 'Sahariana'-tunic and accompanying field-trousers (ie.'Tropenfeldhose'). The two-pieced set comprises of a 'standard'-issue' pattern, brownish-yellow-coloured- tropical-style, Waffen-SS field-tunic (often referred to as 'Sahariana'-tunic). This piece retains all its (period-attached) glass-based buttons (which are marked: 'AKG 1943') and 'off-factory machine-sewn', golden-yellow-coloured arm-eagle (as executed in 'BeVo-weave-pattern).
The tunic bears two internal first-aid bandage-pouches but is void of any shoulder-straps and does show one broken glass-based button. The tunic shows hardly any wear and is clearly ink-stamped with the to be expected size-markings and an: 'RbN'-numeral (that reads: '0/793/0101'). The tunic has an waist of approximately 96 cms. and will easily fit a medium-sized mannequin. It came with a pair of brownish-yellow-coloured- and tropical-style service-trousers (ie. 'Tropenhose').
This example is executed in 'ribbed-style' linnen and retains a white-coloured- and linen-based interior-section. The pair retains all its (glass) based buttons (which are period-mounted onto the pair) and four metal-based belt-hooks: the pairs also shows a clear size- ie. maker-stamp on its inside. It is also fairly sized and has a waist of: 86 cms. and length of: 102 cms. Both pieces are hardly - or even never! - worn nor used.
