Description
Waffen-SS, EM- (ie. NCO-) pattern, M42-model field-tunic ('Feldbluse') 'SS-Rottenführer' Regiment "Westland". The tunic comes in a nice (albeit clearly used- and/or worn-) condition. The tunic has a (standard-pattern) greyish-silver-coloured, linnen-type lining and bears a - vaguely present - inked, size-marking (and 'SS-BW'- ie. 'SS-Bekleidungswerke') stamp. The tunic - which has 'pointed' styled 'pocket-flaps' and later 'added' pleaded-pocket-stripes and darker-green collar - is as such a re-tailored 'M42'-pattern tunic. The piece retains most of its (metal- and glass-based) buttons (of which some might have been re-sewn- and/or replaced over the years).

The piece shows 3-holes (for belt-hook attachment) and has lost some of its woolen 'nap' over the years: it shows moderate age, wear and/or staining. The tunic is fairly large-sized and has a waist of approximately 82 cms. The tunic show a (matching) 'RzM'-type collar-tab-pair attached (which both show fair albeit equal wear). Furthermore, does it show a machine-embroidered, 'RzM'-pattern arm-eagle (period-attached by means of machine-stitching), attached.

The tunic shows also a neat cuff-title ('Ärmelstreifen') attached (by hand) depicting the text: 'Westland'. This cuff-title is of the 'RzM'-pattern and is period-shortened (and period-sewn together) and mounted onto the tunic. The tunic also shows a matching pair (of desirable) SS-EM-type 'Infanterie'-type shoulder-straps attached: these have the white-coloured-, 'silk-like'-type piping attached and come mounted on their original tongues. The tunic shows some period award-loops on the left upper-pocket, All insignia seems to be period-attached to the tunic (that shows equal wear, age and/or minimal staining). Simply an attractive, genuine SS-used tunic that belonged to an: 'SS-Rottenführer' who served with the regiment 'Westland'!
