Inf.Rgt.17 was the famous -Infanterie-Regiment Braunschweig-! Soldiers were allowed to were the Braunschweig skull on their visor caps.

The parade tunic is Geprüft 4./I.R.17 stamped which makes this a no question Inf.Rgt.17 issued tunic! Löffler must have switched to 12. Kompanie later one since the buttons to the shoulder boards to No.12. Two pair of loops for badges. Collar tabs attached by machine, hand-embroidered breast eagle attached by hand (hard to say if period time or postwar).

The tunic was covered in a custom made cotton bag and came on a Fw.Löffler named hanger.
The condition is good. There is no moth damage but signs of wear and use. Condition 2. Size S.
