M42 Police helmet with a single decal applied. The shell is hkp66 stamped. About 75% of its original fieldgrey color in place. The decal added it perfectly original. However, it feels to be unusually smooth. Our guess is that the helmet was entirely overpainted once. While the new color went perfectly off on the helmet itself, it remained on the decal which was carefully ground with a very soft sandpaper.
Original applied size 58 stamped lining. Original chin strap with one crack.
