Description
Bayern, Königreich, Pickelhaube M1896 für Unteroffiziere und Mannschaften der Infanterie.
Kammerstück (1914)
Leder-Helm mit Tellerbeschlag an Rundsplinten und mannschaftsmäßiger Spitze mit Wulst. Mannschaftsemblem mit mannschaftsmäßiger Landeskokarde und offiziersmäßiger Reichskokarde, Schuppenketten an Knopf 91, also vermutlich der Helm eines Unteroffiziers. 
Runder Vorderschirm und Mannschafts-Innenfutter. Kammerstempel vom 23. Infanterie-Regiment „König Ferdinand von Bulgarien“ (Landau / Germersheim) und passend vom Bekleidungsamt des II. Armeekorps, Herstellerstempel aus München und handschriftliche Einträge, Größe „53“. 
Jahreszahl schlecht lesbar, vermutlich 1914. Leder der Schirme, narbig und rissig, deutliche Trage- und Alterungsspuren. Stimmige tombakfarbene Beschläge und schöne Patina!

Bavarian M1886 infantry spike helmet for EM and NCOs. Issued example dating 1914.
Leather corpus mit EM pattern spike and fittings. EM front badge with matching EM pattern Bavarian cockade and officer's type national cockade which was worn like that. Officer's chain attached to two "Knopf 91" buttons which would be for a NCO.
EM pattern lining. Unit marking of "23. Infanterie-Regiment „König Ferdinand von Bulgarien“ (Landau / Germersheim)" which is matching the II.Armeekorps depot marking. Maker marked (maker based in Munich) and size 53 marked.
Year of production hard to read. Probably 1914. 
Overall good condition however clear signs of wear and age. Matching patina to all insignia and metal parts.
