Heer WALLONIE volunteer's sleeve badge

Description
This is a Wehrmacht Heer volunteer-armshield (ie. 'Ärmelabzeichen') as executed in the 'BeVo-weave-pattern as was intended for a Belgian volunteer who served within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the: 'Legion Wallonie'.

The armshield - which is a rarely encountered specimen! - shows the black-, golden-yellow- and red-coloured shield with above the (French-language) text: 'Wallonie' and is neatly woven in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave technique: it comes in a clearly used and/or once tunic-attached condition. The shield has been neatly pre-folded (and has not been 'trimmed'). The piece does show some minimal staining and still shows some stitching-remains of having been once tunic-attached.

It should be noted that these 'Wallonie'-armshields are copied on a large scale: this is naturally a 100% genuine example of unmistaken rarity and desirability!
