WW1 propeller "Kärtner Front" 1917
Description
Important German WWI period time propeller by J.P.W. "INTEGRAL-PROPELLER". The original maker's mark is still in place. Furthermore the period time attached Iron Cross emblem to the front side.
The propeller was probably taken off a crashed aircraft and was converted into a wall decoration. It was cut in half. Oak Leaf ornaments were carved into the wood as well as "KÄRTNER-FRONT 30./1,1917".
The decoration might have been used by soldiers fighting at the Isonzo area against Italy.
A unique piece of history.
