Description

Grouping to Kriegsmarine medic Obergefreiten Franz Schlüter serving with 4. Sicherungs-Divison on board "SG 3". Awarded with Minesweeper War Badge an 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class.

The unfinished French boat "SANS SOUCI" was confiscated by the Wehrmacht in June 1940. Launched on 28.11.1940 and re-named in JUPITER (February 1942). From 22.11.1942 the ship was used by 4. Vorpostenflottille as "Schnelles Geleitboot" under the name "SG 3". Sunk on 06.08.1944 at Les Sables d'Olonne by an aerial bomb.

Certificate to Minesweeper War Badge. Issued on 1.7.1942. Signed by Fregattenkapitän Anselm Lautenschlager (German Cross in gold recipient).

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 4.10.1943. Signed by Konteradmiral Erich Alfred Breuning.

The photo album comes with roughly 100 photos. Including two nice portrait photos. One in tropical tunic. Furthermore fine shots of the ship.

One period time pedigree of his family.
