Description

Fine Kriegsmarine civil servant's tunic tailored by HEINRICH SCHNELLER, BERLIN. The tunic belonged to Marine-Oberbaurat Aschmoneit, a "Technischer Beamter" in the rank of a "Fregattenkapitän", and comes with a name tag attached to the inner pocket. The tag is November 1939 dated.

Christoph Aschmoneit (1901 - 1984) was the leading German U-Boot (submarine) engineer of the Third Reich.

Hand-embroidered civil bullion breast eagle. The eagle does look to be re-attached. Silvered naval buttons. Fine black lining. Bullion rank sleeve rings as well as hand-embroidered trade patches for a "Technische Beamte des höheren Dienstes". 

One pair of loops for one badge as well as two loops for a small field ribbon bar which is still attached.

Medium size. No moth damage. Condition 2.
