Very fine and special Pionier visor cap for an officer. The two black lower pipings are standard and textbook. However, the top piping was made from soft velvet, the same material they used for SS visors. A very interesting manufacturing detail!
The sweat-band and the silk liner is WILHELM WELHAUSEN Hannover-Kassel maker marked. The diamond is intact. The cap comes with original attached insignia. A fine hand-embroidered wreath badge and a metal cap eagle. This cap was never issued with an embroidered eagle.
Size 56/57. Fine quality cap in very nice condition 2. No damage.
