Description

Heer visor cap to the civil servant Karl Doebler. Doebler served with Festungs-Bau-Bataillon 16 in Stalingrad. His unit was destroyed in Stalingrad in January 1943. It was not re-instituted after the battle of Stalingrad anymore.

His name tag also shows his fieldpost number 33724 which can used to track his unit.

Rare visor cap for a "Beamter auf Kriegsdauer" tailored with green piping and a grey (!) cap band. The grey band was period time (!) covered with a green cap band when he was promoted a civil servant for life and not for war time (auf Kriegsdauer). The green cap band was simply fixed thread.

Fine officer's hand-embroidered insignia attached by hand. Correct chins strap and buttons. Greenish silk lining with EREL maker marked celluloid diamond (slightly damaged). EREL maker marked to the sweat-band as well.

Size 56.

Good condition 2. A few moth holes which are luckily to the green cap band mostly. The grey band looks to be without damage. Minor moth bites to the piping and rest of the cap.
