Description
Note: The parade tunic to this soldier was found and shipped to us after the auction starts. There is a December 1938 dated name tag inside: Uffz. Hinß.

Untouched M40 field tunic for a Feldwebel serving with Beobachtungs-Abteilung 17 which was part of Artiller-Regiment 17. Please see next lot for the trousers to this Feldwebel.

A great M40 field tunic which comes with a period time dark green color. This Feldwebel must have ordered it like this to get the traditional "M36 style". Machine-attached collar tabs and NCO tress. Nice B17 Feldwebel Artillerie shoulder boards.

The breast eagle definitely period time attached however I could imagine the swastika was folded to the inside to hide it after the war. It was then uncovered and attached with a few stitches. The top row stitches and the sides look absolutely period time attached to me. A ribbon to the War Merit Cross.

Cotton liner. Size stamps and a St40 date stamp. Minor stains (red) to the right sleeve. Might clean off.
Only a few really moth bites. Size M. A little shortened (period time)!
