Waldemar von Fischer (1189 - 1974) served as a WW1 u-boat commander during WWI and as chief of staff of the WWII shipyards St. Nazaire and La Rochelle during WWII. He became Danish Naval Commander Islands from August 1944 until the end of the war.
Von Fischer has sunk four steamers during WWI: Est, Ottokar, Maja, Laila. 5461 BRT in total. Please see other items at auction.

Nicely worn brocade belt with dark blue cloth backing. No moth damage. No corrosion to the brocade. Brass buckle with original gilding. Length: 115cm. "105" marked.
