Rare 1.6.1944 issued application for the Close Combat Clasp in silver listing 30 days of close combat. Signed by SS-Obersturmführer Fröhlich and SS-Obersturmbannführer Albert Frey. The application was confirmed by SS-Obersturmbannführer Heidenhaupt. The actual award certificate is missing and was probably never issued. The application for was sent to his family on 30.1.1945 confirmed by a small document. When it took 6 months for the application form to reach the family the actual award certificate might have never issued before the end of the war.
A four page list in "Soldbuch size" confirm all 42 days of close combat.
