Deutsches Reich 1918 - 1945
"D-Day" Gren.Rgt.1058 Nachlass + Nachlass Indische Legion

Beschreibung

Very important grouping to Unteroffizier Richard Wilke serving with Inf.Rgt.487, Inf.Rgt.950 (so-called Indische Legion) and Gren.Rgt. 1058 (91.Inf.Div.). Wilke was awarded the Close Combat Clasp in bronze on 14.11.1943.

Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class issued on 25.11.1941 issued to Unteroffizier Wilke serving with III./Inf.Rgt.487.

A small size certificate to the Infantry Assault Badge in silver. Issued in the field on 20.2.1942. Signed by the regiment commander of Inf.Rgt.487.

A scarce color award certificate to the East Medal issued to Wilke serving with Inf.Rgt.487. A very rare award certificate which we never had before. 20.8.1942 issued and signed by the regiment commander.

Certificate to the Wound Badge in black. Issued on 7.12.1943 in Braunschweig.

Rare 30.10.43 dated list of 11 assault days. Issued by Gren.Rgt.487. Signed by the Leutnant. Another even rare list dating back to the 29.10.43 listing 13 days of close combat!

Five Feldposter letters from May 1944. The Feldpostnummer stands for Stab III./Grenadier-Regiment 1058. The regiment was destroyed in Cherbourg, Normandy in June 1944 during the invasion of France. All are easy to read and a great document of the time shortly before D-Day.

Soldbuch issued by Inf.Rgt.487 on 30.9.1942. Many entries including a list of three awards. Good condition.

1936 issued Wehrpaß providing an original photograph of Wilke. A long list of all units he served with. The Wehrpaß tells us that he was not also awarded the Close Combat Clasp in bronze. This was not noted in his Soldbuch. There is also a long list with all campaign he was part of from 7.9.1939 until 5.9.1943.

Other period time document and booklets.

A very important piece of history.
