Beschreibung

Important grouping of the Schnellboot Maschinenobermaat Hans Morgeneier and his father Matrosen-Stabsgefreiter Richard Morgeneier.

Hans Morgeneier served in the Mediterian Sea and around Finland. Part of the grouping or hundreds of Schnelllboot related photos providing a lot of room for additional research on his campaigns. Many of them with additional information written to the reverse. His father served as a Marineartillerie Hauptgefreiter at "Festung Lorient".

Badges:
SA Sport's Badge, early NSDAP "Ges.Gesch." membership badge, several HJ badges as well as an imperial cockade and other badges and pictures.

Flag:
Third Reich war flag. 72cm x 133cm. "Reichskriegs-Flg. 0,8 x 1,35" stamped. Linen. Double-sided. Good condition.

Certificates the son:
Rare 1st pattern award certificate to the E-Boat Badge issued on 28.3.1941. Original ink signature of a "Kapitän zur See und Führer der Torpedoboote". Not folded. Issued to Hans Morgeneier serving with 3. Schnellbootsflottille.

7.5.1945 (!) issued Iron Cross 1st Class certificate with original signature of Kapitän zur See u. Kommodore Petersen. Folded once. Issued to Machinenobermaat Morgeneier (Hans). Folded once. 

2.7.1941 issued Iron Cross 2nd Class certificate issued to Morgeneier serving with 3. Schnellbootsflottille. Not folded. Original ink signature of Admiral Schniewind. Stamped "Flottenkommando 1". 

Sport's Badge in bronze award booklet with originally attached photograph. Including a letter confirming the actual badge was shipped to him.

Certificates to the father:
Certificate to the War Merit Cross 2nd Class issued on 1.9.1943 to Matrosen-Stabsgefreiter Richard Morgeneier. Facsimile signature. 

Certificate to the Sudetenland Medal signed by a Korvettenkapitän to Richard Morgeneier serving with 1. Marineartillerie-Abteilung. DIN A4. Folded. 

"Hindenburg Cross" award certificate.

Reichsmarine "Militärpaß" to Morgeneier serving with I. Werft-Division. 
Wehrmacht Soldbuch with orginally attached photograph. Swastikas removed. 1941 issued. Awards on page 4: Coastal Artillery Badge, War Merit Cross 2nd Class, Sudetenland Medal.

Photos:
A stunning package of roughly 130 photographs kept in a envelope with "Mittelmeer" written to the top. All photos are taken around the Mediterian See. Many come with additional informaiton written to the revese. 

Many photos were taken in Finland. There are photos of his time at Marineschule Kiel as well.

A small size photo album with 51 photographs of a Kriegsmarine female helper inside.

There are about 340 loose photographs in total.

Feldpost letters:
There are well over 200 WWII period time Feldpost letters of both, father and son including two rare cards sent from Richard Morgeneier out of "Festung Lorient" in October and November 1944.
