Nachlass des Feldwebels Zoller im Terek Kosaken Reiter-Rgt. 6 - Bandenbekämpfung

Beschreibung

Rare grouping to Feldwebel Jakob Zoller serving with Terek Kosaken Reiter-Regiment 6 and 7. Kuban Kosaken Regiment Platow. In December 1944 the Reiter-Regiment 6 was transferred to the Waffen-SS.

Wehrpass issued on 28. April 1936. Original attached photo. His units are listed on page 12. Awards: Westwall Medal, 1939 War Merit Cross 1st and 2nd Class with Swords, and Ostvolk Decoration for Merit on the Eastern Front 2nd Class is silver. Noted on page 23. Campaign list from 3.9.1939 until 3.10.1943. Involved in anti-partisan combat in Croatia "Bekämpfung der Banden im Südwestraum in Kroatien". A blue spot on the swastika on the front cover.

Soldbuch issued on 27. August 1939. Original attached photo. One promotion was subsequently canceled (page 1). Presumably on the occasion of his transfer to the Waffen SS. Page 15 shows us the information that he was a member of the 1. Kosaken-Division and is authorized the wear the sleeve badge of this unit. Awards: the same as in the Wehrpass. Some pages are loose and all swastikas were painted over with black pen.

French POW certificate of discharge. Postwar dated.

His "Kriegstagebuch" war diary from 26. August 1939 until 2. January 1945. Written by typewriter. Including notes about his anti-partisan combat missions "Einsätze im Partisanengebiet". 5 pages.

The album mainly documents the campaign in France. It contains eight excellent portrait photos showing him and his comrades in the uniforms of the Terek Cossacks. Postcard format. Also three photos of him in the Waffen-SS tunic. In December 1944 the Reiter Regiment 6 was transferred to the Waffen-SS. Such photos are extremely rare! Roughly 167 photos.
