Beschreibung

An excellent WWI grouping to Dr. Kurt Frickler serving as an observer with the Imperial German Flying Corps ("Fliegertruppe").

Imperial German Observer's Badge. Made from silver. "C.E. Juncker Berlin" maker marked and "800" silver hallmarked. Hollow-inside, so-called "hohl verbödet". Enamelled emblem to the front (no chips). The prongs of the emblem are missing (probably broken). Period time reattached/repaired with solder. Please see the pictures! Including the matching 16 mm-miniature pin. 

Austrian K.u.K Field Pilot's Badge (Feldpilotenabzeichen). Tombak. Gilt. Enamelled (minor chipping). "BSW" maker marked to the back (Brüder Schneider Wien). Both original rivets in place. The pin is missing. Very hard to find!

Austrian K.u.K Observer and Balloon Crew Badge (Luftfahrerabzeichen 1917). Tombak. Gilt. Enameled. Both original rivets in place. Two hooks on the back for uniform attachment. Hard to find!

1914 Iron Cross 1st Class. "Meybauer" maker marked and "800" silver hallmarked. Three-part construction. Iron core. Original black paint. Slightly curved. Lovely patina. The catch is slightly bent.

WWI Wound Badge in black. 

6-place medal bar. 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class with swords, Honor Cross of WWI, Austrian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class, Austrian War Commemorative Medal 1914-1918, Austro-Hungarian WWI Commemorative Medal 1914-1918 "PRO DEO ET PATRIA". Including two matching ribbon bars.

Rare 8-place miniature chain. Austro-Hungarian WWI Commemorative Medal 1914-1918 "PRO DEO ET PATRIA", Austrian War Commemorative Medal 1914-1918, Austrian K.u.K Field Pilot's Badge (Feldpilotenabzeichen), Austrian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class, Imperial German Observer's Badge, WWI Wound Badge in silver ("800" hallmarked), Honor Cross of WWI and 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class.

5-place miniature pin. 1914 Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, Honor Cross of WWI, Imperial German Observer's Badge and Wound Badge in black.

A nice period time portrait photo of him. He wears some of his awards. Postcard format.

A black case of issue for a medal bar. Black lettering to the lining "Treue um Treue - von Hindenburg". The case opens and closes correctly. 

Furthermore, a large period time case in which he kept his awards and a postwar postcard (1954).

Signs of use. Good condition 2.

Very hard to find!
