A very rare 1st pattern "old style" visor cap for an officer with a soft leather visor. Collector's call this type of cap a "crusher cap". 

Piping: "Green" color for Gebirgsjäger troops
Insignia: Machine-woven officer's cap eagle and wreath badge. The correct type of insignia for this cap. Period time attached by hand. 

Sweat-band: Nicely worn with no noteable damage. "K.IRCHHOF" named. Stamps were blackened to the inside of the sweat-band. You can guess a size "57" marking. Other markings might be unit markings.
Lining: Fine silk lining with intact celluloid diamond. Signs of wear. Some stains. "Record" marked. 
Visor: Soft leather

Markings: EREL SONDERKLASSE (lining). EREL PATENT STIRNSCHUTZ (sweat-band)

A nicely worn cap in good shape. Some small moth holes (mainly to covered areas)
