Untouched Heer M43 field tunic. A lightweight type from so-called "HBT" material typically issued to troops serving with South France, Italy, Greece, etc.

This tunic was period time modified by a tailor due to the personal taste of the owner. Soldiers preferred the more elegant M36 style featuring a dark green collar and dark green collar tabs. All modifications were executed period time and definitely prior 1945.
Modifications like these are quite common and give this tunic a unique touch.
Breast eagle: Machine-woven EM/NCO type. Period time attached by machine. The original eagle looks to be still in place! A dark green M36 eagle was hand attached above it!
Collar tabs: period time attached by machine. Re-attached after the NCO promotion
Shoulder boards: Early slip-on boards with embroidered "9" cipher for Inf.Rgt.9
Markings: Size marked. Depot marked
Lining: Silk
Buttons: Complete and attached with the original rings.
