Well worn Heer visor cap for a Cavalry officer. Clearly "issued" and been there with a lot of character. The cap is EREL SONDERKLASSE maker marked to the silk. The celluloid diamond is damaged. Intact sweat-band with clear signs of wear. NIce patina to the officer's chin strap.
No moth damage. Replaced insignia which look to be silver painted. A nice "salty" cap well worth to be restored with a nice pair of matching cap insignia.
