Period time nice quality Heer officer's tunic with removed breast eagle. The shadow can still be seen. Waffen-SS Gebirgsjäger insignia of a SS-Obersturmführer were postwar applied. A "shadow" of a removed sleeve eagle was created in modern times. The buttons are original but were replaced. An Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon was applied by hand and a replica name tag was added to the inner pocket. 

The two loops to the breast eagle look period time attached. All SS insignia are modern reproductions in our opinion.

Still a very nice quality privately purchased field tunic. Medium size. No moth holes.
