Luftwaffe sword to a member of the Kampfgeschwader 253 "General Wever". "I./253" stamped on the crossguard.
The blade is in good condition. Slight stains. "SMF Solingen" maker marked. Blue leather finished grip with intact wire wrapping. The ring between grip and crossguard has been replaced. Tombak fittings. The pommel can no longer be fastened (tightened) 100 %. Blue leather finished scabbard with aluminium fittings. No dents. All four screws in place (opened once). Including the matching blue leather hanger.
Sword and scabbard don't match, however a nice set! Yellow patina from skoke. Smell to the sword as well.
