A very fine Deumer made tombak Paratrooper Badge in its case of issue. The badge seems to have been only worn a few times and comes in great condition 1-. Lovely finish to wreath and eagle.
"W.DEUMER LÜDENSCHEID" maker marked. "David" named. The soldier also scratches his unit into the reverse of the wreath:
"I.FALLSCHIRM-Jg.Rgt.2 1.Komp."
The case is very nice from the inside and shows signs of age and patina to the outside. It protected the badge very well over the decades and opens and close correctly. No damage.
