Rare solid Silver grade Infantry Assault Badge in Buntmetall /Tombak. For a still unknown reason, Karl Wurster was the only maker that during the entire war produced solid Buntmetall/Tombak combat awards. Properly marked with the early so-called small "w" Wurster maker mark on the left upper wing looked upon from the reverse. Apart from the award once being cleaned, it remains in very good condition with most of its high-quality plated silver finish nicely intact. Not exceptionally rare but without a doubt one of the most desirable IAB's ever produced.
