This type of floor lamp was designed by Isamu Noguchi circa 1950 and has been manufactured by Ozeki & Company Ltd. (Japan).
This early edition is stamped with a manufacturer's mark. As of the current status, this might be the only version of this lamp being available on the market.
No cracks and only a few darker spots on the bottom of the paper.
There are curently only two photos existing on the internet showing this extraordinary paperf loor lamp. One of them on the official Noguchi- Museum website.
Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988) was one of the 20th century's most important sculptors. Besides of artistic experimentation, he created gardens, furniture and lighting designs, sculptures, ceramics, architecture, and many more.
Vitra is the current manufacturer to built lamps and furniture by Noguchi.
