Rudolf Konrad (1891 - 1964) was a German general in the Wehrmacht during World War II who served as commander of XXXXIX. Gebirgs-Korps. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and, by the end of the war, held the rank of General der Gebirgstruppe.

This 1943 dated aquarelle signed by an unknown artist shows the river Kuban. It was presented to his son "Gerhard" to his birthday on 7.7.1947. 

He dedicated it to his son and mentions that he defended this part of the river as commanding General and commander of 49. Geb.Korps against the Russians for 10 months.

He signed it "Rudolf Konrad".
