An impressive Deutsche Jägerschaft "DJ" snuffbox. It was a personal gift by Hermann Göring as "Reichsjägermeister".
The box is made of a piece of deer antler. Hollow inside for the snuff. The lid on the front can be opened by pressing the small lever (left). Full working. The center of the lid displays the emblem of the "DJ". Behind it a brass plate. Decorated with oak leaves ornaments. Fixed with six small screws. The medallion on the back showing a hunting scene. Furthermore a small closure at the top. This can be opened to distribute the snuff perfectly on the hand. Attached with a chain on the box.
