Royal Italian Army metal cavalry helmet. Worn by the first 4 Italian Royal Savoia cavalry regiments (Nizza, Piemonte Reale, Savoia, and Genova).
The helmet comes with a nickel-plated Savoy cross to the front. Beautiful brown fur backing (band). Metal shell. A fine decorated and gilded brass crest, showing a lions head to the front. Furthermore, the crowned monogram "VE" for Vittorio Emanuele.
Chin-straps with brass plaques. Cockade on the right side in place. Black leather lining.

Including the period time wooden case for storage. Attached paper tag. Possibly the address/name of the recipient.
