Very rare Olympic grouping to Eduard "Edy" Schmid. Schmid was part of the Swiss field handball team, which won the Bronze Medal at the Olympic Games Berlin 1936.

The top shows the Olympic Stadium Berlin, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Olympic rings as well as the inscription "ZUR EHRE DES VAERLANDES ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS". Below is the text "XI. OLYMPIADE BERLIN 1936 - EHRENURKUNDE - SCHWEIZ DITTER HANDBALL". Facsimile signatures by Dr. Theodor Lewald, President of the Organizing Committee, and Baillet-Latour, IOC President.
