Rare SS Chained Service Dagger in very nice condition.
The blade is in nice condition and shows the etched motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue". No maker's mark (as it should be). Minor stains on both sides. Nice black wooden handle with inserted SS roundel and national eagle (nickel). No chipping. Early nickel fittings. "He" (Hessen ?) stamped on the lower crossguard.
Original black anodized steel scabbard with nickel fittings. The center fitting is made from iron. One tiny dent on the ball. All six screws are in place. Original attached nickel-plated iron dagger chain ("C" type). The chain links bear SS runes and skulls. "SS" stamped on the reverse. Fully working snap-clip, so-called "Germanic knot". Also "DRGM" stamped.
