Impressive Deutsche Jägerschaft "DJ" hunting dagger, a so-called "Hirschfänger".
An excellent etched blade on three sides shows beautiful ornaments and hunting scenes. It has a few small stains. The back of the blade shows the maker's mark of Carl Eickhorn Solingen.
Real horn grip with the "DJ" emblem on the front. No chipping or cracks. High-quality silver-plated tombak handle fittings. The crossguard features the picture of a capercaillie. Green leather finished scabbard with tombak fittings. It has no dents or cracks in the leather. The bottom fitting is decocted with the picture of a deer.
Comes with the original leather frog and portepee. Fully working snap clip.
