A very comprehensive lot of roughly 150 documents of Croatian volunteers serving with Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS. Partly bilingual in German and Croatian. The most documents were issued in 1944 and 1945.
Some mission reports and documented brave acts as well as proposals for award ceremonys. Furthermore very interesting signatures:
- General Hermann Niehoff (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner, nominated for Swords in 1945)
- Generalmajor Hagen Walter (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner)
- General der Infanterie Ernst von Leyser (Knight's Cross winner)
An interesting lot with
room for additional research. The lot should be particularly interesting for autograph collectors.
