VIEW DESCRIPTION

Certificate to Luftwaffe Combined Pilot's and Observer's Badge. Issued on 24.02.1940 to Leutnant Joachim Gey. He served as a Staffelkapitän with 6./Kampfgeschwader 3. Also known as "Blitz Geschwader". Signed by Generalleutnant Gustav Kastner-Kirdorf (German Cross in Silver winner). A4-format.

Oberleutnant Gey was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 20.06.1943 and German Cross in Gold on 13.01.1942 for his successes as a bomber pilot. He flew a total of 409 sorties.

Including a report of his military career (postwar).
