Description

Rare Austrian-Hungarian sword for "Hofbeamte" civil servants.

Mother of pearl grip plates. The grip plate on the front was professionally reattached (with the original piece) since it was loose. Brass hilt fittings. The crossguard shows the Austrian national eagle.

Leather finished straight scabbard. The upper fitting comes with the monogram "FJ1"  of Franz Joseph I. of Austria. "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co." maker marked to the blade.

Length: 101cm.

Signs of wear. Good condition.
