M33 SS Service Dagger "Ernst Röhm"

Description

An early and rare SS Service Dagger.

"Carl Eickhorn, Solingen" maker marked blade with the etched SS motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue". Signs of age and stains as well as pitting. The dagger was an "ex-Röhm" dagger. The dedication "In herzlicher Kameradschaft - Ernst Röhm" on the reverse has been removed.

A black wooden handle including the national eagle. The SS roundel has been removed and the "hole" filled. Also painted over in black. Damaged! Matching nickel fittings. Stamped "I" on the front of the lower crossguard. Furthermore "6" stamped on the bottom. It is the number of the employee's workplace. Only Röhm and Himmler daggers had this marking at Eickhorn.

Steel scabbard with nickel fittings. Original finish. The scabbard is slightly "deformed" in the middle. Two screws are missing and one dent to the finial. The blade can no longer be pushed completely into the scabbard.

Used condition! Please see the pictures for more details.
