The blade comes with the etched motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue". On the reverse side of the blade, the inscription "In herzlicher Kameradschaft Ernst Röhm" has been removed. Remains of it are still visible. Furthermore "Gottlieb Hammesfahr" maker marked. Signs of use and stains on both sides.
Black wooden handle with inlaid SS roundel and eagle. The handle has a chip on the front and 2-3 fine stress cracks. Nickel fittings. "III" stamped on the lower crossguard. The black finish on the scabbard is worn, however, remains are present. Rust stains, but no dents. Nickel crossguards and all four screws are in position. The lower fitting has a few small dents.
