An extremely rare NPEA Student's Dagger. Worn by a student of the National Political Institutes of Education based in Berlin-Spandau. So-called "NAPOLA".
The blade comes with the etched motto "Mehr sein als scheinen." and the maker's mark by "Karl Burgsmüller, Berlin". Excellent conditon!
A brown wooden handle, similarly designed as a SA Dagger but without emblems. Possibly postwar made! Aluminium fittings. The lower crossguard is "SP 247" stamped ("SP" = code for Berlin-Spandau).
Original olive-brown factory painted steel scabbard. Both original screws in position as well the frog stud. No dents. Including a matching black leather frog.
The dagger was assembled after the war using original wartime parts!
